Our curriculum is grounded in God’s truth and designed to reveal His character through every academic subject. We combine a Biblical worldview with proven educational frameworks, nurturing students to grow in faith, wisdom, and understanding.
At Waverley Christian College, we believe all truth originates from God and that every academic subject reveals aspects of His character and creation. Our curriculum is designed using the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework, guided by the Victorian Curriculum and enriched by Harvard University’s Project Zero’s Cultures of Thinking. We foster deep understanding, student wellbeing, and academic achievement through differentiated instruction, positive education, and a supportive learning environment. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning, develop self-discipline, and discover their unique gifts and talents.
Teachers model Christian character and use a variety of teaching methods to ensure all students enjoy learning and develop their gifts. Assessment is ongoing, relevant, and designed to promote reflection and growth. Our curriculum includes all key learning areas, capabilities, and cross-curriculum priorities, ensuring every student is challenged and supported to reach their God-given potential.
